Blog #7 – Highlights of 2024

I had a blast running Fit For Fun programs this year! It was especially rewarding to help children come out of their shell and feel comfortable to participate in class. I aim to create an environment that fosters children’s skill development and builds their confidence. It is exciting to witness the growth and progress each child makes throughout the season.

  1. HDSB approved – Fit For Fun was approved to run programs in Halton District School Board.
  2. Camps – I received positive feedback from Summer Camps and they booked me in for March Break and Summer 2025!
  3. Weekend Programs – Fall 2024 was the first time I started running Saturday indoor multi-sport classes and 2 of the 3 classes sold out!
  4. Special Events – I ran more birthday parties and got to be the special guest for the Girl Guides.
  5. HDSA – One of my favourite programs was the basketball program I ran for the Halton Down Syndrome Association.
  6. 1st Anniversary – Fit For Fun started in June 2023 and I am so grateful to be running my own small coaching business.
  7. Testimonials – I appreciate the parents and teachers who took the time to post a Google Review.
  8. Appreciation – I received hugs, high-5’s, artwork, Christmas presents and thank you cards.
  9. Volunteered – I ran complementary classes at the Halton Women’s Shelter and my daughter’s kindergarten class.
  10. Returning Children – It was a pleasure having the opportunity to coach children for more than one season. Many children who I taught in my soccer classes over the Summer also attended my Fall multi-sport classes.
  11. Fit For Fun Magnets – I was excited to hand out customized Fit For Fun magnets at the end of the Fall 2024 season! They were made by a mom and son team at themagnetandstickercreator.
